More about our Churches

    wheelchair     young people

We offer extended coverage of the life and work of our churches – see Biddulph, Goostrey, Holmes Chapel, Middlewich, Trinity and Wellspring for examples.  Extra topics include a church notice board, who's who portraits, activity picture gallery, outreach activities, fellowship groups and help with transport to church.  Further topics can be created, as required.

The Biddulph Church pages show that a church's pages can have quite a distinctive format if that is what is wanted.

If you attend another church in the circuit, compare how your church is described, with the examples above.  Perhaps you'd like to add material or present the life of your church differently.  Please contact the editors with any material you'd like us to publish: text or pictures.  Notice that Trinity describe their church current affairs by publishing their church magazine on the web site as well as on paper: see notes below.  Holmes Chapel republish their weekly 'news notes' on the web site.

Where churches are located in towns of some size, new street maps have been introduced to show how to find your way to them.  See for example Biddulph and the Congleton Churches: Rood Lane, Trinity and Wellspring.  Links to these maps are provided from the church description pages.

More about our Circuit

sample map of circuit area

A map has been introduced to indicate the geographical area of the circuit and where 'Our Churches' are located within it.  On the map, the red circles indicate the locations of churches.  If you click a mouse / pointer on a red circle or the adjacent yellow bar showing the church name, you will link to the entry page of descriptive information about that church.

The story about the 'locality' of our Circuit has also been enhanced.  It tells something about the history and current demography of the area, its landscape and the townships within it.  See sample below.

Church News / Church Magazines

Part of the extended coverage of Our Churches, is to offer one or more pages for each church in the Circuit to publish Church News.  The space is available for news and affairs, notices and coming events.  We are happy to publish church news stories from any church in the circuit.  To show what's been happening and what's coming up, Trinity republish their existing bi-monthly magazine and Holmes Chapel republish their annual report magazine plus their weekly 'News Notes'.  Biddulph maintain an independent page of coming events (in addition to the Circuit-wide listing).  Goostrey and Middlewich publish coming events on their own 'Notice Boards' on the Circuit pages.

Circuit Projects

You can find out more about these and other projects if you look at the Projects in the section of the web site about What we do.

Fair Trade and Traidcraft

Children of Romania

Have you noticed the stories about support for Fair Trade and for the Traidcraft organisation?  This has led to Fair Trade status being achieved by both Trinity Church & Congleton town council.

Have you noticed the stories about the circuit's support of the work of the church in Romania, providing children in desperate circumstances with love, care, food, clothing, accommodation, education and recreation?
