Confirmation Classes

Classes take place as required.  They provide an opportunity to discuss important aspects of our Christian life and experience.  A Service of Confirmation and Reception into Membership follows.

 

Talkback
(The Book Club)

To read and discuss a wide range of books which challenge Christian, religious or moral orthodoxy, or in some other way stimulate the grey matter!  At the end of each meeting, possible next books are mooted and one is chosen. The club meets every two or three months, on a Tuesday evening, in Westwood House, Trinity, on dates agreed to suit those present.

Talking of God

A Bible study course, led by the church minister.  It is conceived of as an 'Outreach' enabler.


York Courses

In conjunction with the Anglican Church in Goostrey, courses are offered at Advent and Lent, aimed at strengthening fellowship and involving friends who might not normally attend worship.

Holmes Chapel

 

 

Disciple Course

Study of selected topics from the Bible, e.g. Paul's letters and the Book of Job.  The group meet monthly, at a private home.


Bible Study

Reading and discussing the Bible, relating it to the experiences of the discipleship of those attending.  One season looking at the Old Testament and one at the New.

Trinity

 

 

Brainstretchers

Meets on the morning of the 1st Tuesday of each month, at the home of one of the members, to discuss and be challenged by one of today's Christian books.

 

Alpha

A 15-session practical introduction to the Christian faith, aimed particularly at people who don't go to church.  Course runs when required

 

Barnabas

A programme of 5 sessions for those who want to grow more confident in expressing their faith, and for those who want to find faith.  Course runs when required

The Journey

A radical programme designed to provide an alternative to some more traditional courses, and is written for groups or individuals exploring the issues.  Course runs when required.
