Outreach    Traidcraft

Traidcraft exists to promote fair trade across the world, and aims to help people help themselves: they don't hand out charity.  By donating money, people help Traidcraft continue to promote projects like establishing self-sufficient, tea growing co-operatives that avoid reliance on all-powerful estates.

Fairtrade Foundation
The Fairtrade Foundation is the controlling body for fair trade in the UK.  It awards Fairtrade status to qualifying organisations and promotes the idea nationally, awarding the Fairtrade Mark to products which are fairly traded.  There are many organisations which have helped to set up co-operatives etc in third world countries and whose prodcuts have then been approved by the Foundation.  Traidcraft is one such organisation.
